The ruins of the oldest surviving stone castle in Bohemia, dating from 1121 (during the reign of Vladislav I.), stand on the hill of the same name above Přimda in the Tachov district. Přimda Castle served as a border fortress and its tower is a typical example of Romanesque architecture. Freely accessible ruins with views over the Bohemian Forest.
