The most monumental castle ruin in Bohemia stands on a rocky promontory above the confluence of the Křemžský stream and the Vltava river. This 14th-century Rožmberk castle is accessible year-round from dawn to dusk and captivates with its romantic atmosphere. A visit can be combined with a boat trip on the Vltava or a walk through the nature park.
