Romantic Gothic castle from the 14th century, grandly rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries for the Teutonic Knights order. Known as the 'romantic jewel of central Moravia'. Offers several guided tour routes including a children's trail. Surrounded by a vast English park with ancient trees.

• What you see is not medieval: in 1895 Archduke Eugen, Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, had most of the original castle demolished and a romantic imitation of southern German castles built in two years.
