Mining museum in Landek Park in Ostrava-Petřkovice with a descent into the Anselm Mine. The exhibitions cover the history of coal mining, mining machinery and a unique collection of mine rescue equipment; visitors descend in the original cage lift and walk through 250 metres of mine galleries. Landek is also an archaeological site of mammoth hunters, where the Petřkovice Venus was found in the 1950s. Guided tours.

• Landek has been continuously settled for more than 23,000 years and this is where black coal was first used as fuel.
