Why visit this place?

• Aviation production began here in 1951, when an aviation division was set up at the Mora Moravia cooker works; the American company Honeywell bought the plant in 2002.
• The plant makes static jet engine components — ninety-eight percent of them go to Honeywell Aerospace headquarters in Phoenix — as well as parts for the APU of F-35 fighters.
• Admission is free, which helps when the class budget is tight.
• Allow roughly three hours; the programme is aimed at secondary students.
