A nine-metre-tall watchtower dating from around 1478, part of the forward Gothic fortifications of Cornštejn Castle near the Vranov Reservoir. Opened to the public after reconstruction on 1 May 2025; a metal staircase leads up to a viewing platform overlooking Cornštejn Castle and the surrounding bays of the reservoir.

Why visit this place?

• The watchtower was built around 1478 as part of the outer fortifications of Hrad Cornštejn and still stands 9 metres tall today.
• After reconstruction it opened to the public on 1 May 2025, and visitors climb a metal staircase to a lookout above the Vranovská přehrada reservoir.
• Allow roughly an hour and a half; the programme is aimed at lower primary, upper primary and secondary students.
