An interactive museum of the Old Kladruber horse in the former manorial Švýcárna building near Slatiňany. The exhibition offers a magnetic wall with game elements and the authentically furnished study of Professor František Bílek, who saved the breed from extinction. The grounds include a café and an outdoor playground for children. Guided programmes are available for schools. Operated by the town of Slatiňany.

Why visit this place?

• Švýcárna stands on the site of a gamekeeper's lodge founded in 1839; after its last resident left, the film Smrt v sedle and the series Dobrá Voda were shot here.
• After restoration, an interactive museum of the Old Kladruby horse opened on 29 June 2012, recalling Professor Bílek, who saved the breed.
• Allow roughly an hour; the programme is aimed at lower primary, upper primary and secondary students.
