An open-air museum of Haná clay vernacular architecture in the village of Příkazy near Olomouc. The grounds comprise three post-and-beam barns from the first half of the 19th century, a barn from 1987 and the complete Kameníček homestead with its residential and farm sections from 1876; since 2022 it has also included an early modern timbered barn from Skalička in the Hranice region. The museum hosts events such as Dožínky na Hané (harvest festival), Koniny and Hanácké Vánoce (Haná Christmas), along with programmes for schools and families.
Why visit this place?
The Kameníčkův grunt farmstead, around which the museum grew, is first mentioned in 1508 in the oldest urbarium of the canonical prebend.
The oldest dated exhibit in the living quarters is a cabbage shredder made in 1799.
Besides the tour there are hands-on workshops, so children get to make something themselves.
