A polygonal permanent fort from 1851–1854, part of the Theresian-Josephine fortification ring around Olomouc. One of the best-preserved forts of the Olomouc fortress, with massive earthworks, casemates, and a Neo-Gothic entrance portal. Guided tours lead through the casemates, moat, and counterscarp. The complex is a listed cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
