An interactive visitor centre of the Slavkovský les Protected Landscape Area in the hamlet of Kladská near Mariánské Lázně. Children climb through a model mining gallery, play recognition games, watch a 3D film and learn about the natural and cultural highlights of the region. The centre is the starting point for nature trails around the Kladský pond and heathlands.
Why visit this place?
The hamlet of Kladská was founded as a hunting settlement in 1875; its landmark is the wooden hunting lodge of Prince Schönburg-Waldenburg.
It lies at an altitude of 815 metres beside Kladský Pond, with the 982-metre hill Lysina rising above it.
The exhibition is interactive — it expects you to touch the exhibits and try them out.
Allow roughly an hour and a half; the programme is aimed at every age group from preschool to secondary school.
