One of the most important alternative theatres in the Czech Republic, located in the centre of Brno. It offers experimental and author-driven productions for older pupils and youth. The company has been running since 1967 and borrowed its name from a 1925 book by the Brno writer Jiří Mahen, Husa na provázku.
In 1969 censors made it drop the word husa from its name, after someone in the streets of Brno rewrote its posters to read Husák na provázku.
