One of the largest artillery fortresses of the Czechoslovak border fortifications, built from October 1937 on Mount Stachelberg (Ježová hora) above the village of Babí near Trutnov. The unfinished underground complex consists of 3.5 km of tunnels and chambers at depths of 25–60 metres. Visitors tour more than a kilometre of underground passages with a guide, view combat casemate T-S 73 with a historical exhibition, fortification models and displays of weapons.
