Category: glassworks

A family glassmaking studio with over 20 years of tradition. It specialises in custom-made hand-blown and art glass. Visitors are welcome to come and learn about the glassmaking craft.

Why visit this place?

• The glassworks was founded in 2002 by the glass master Anton Cangel, who taught glassmaking in the Netherlands and Germany.
• The glassworks melts glass in three furnaces: 400 kilograms for crystal glass, 50 kilograms for coloured glass and a small 20-kilogram one for opal glass.
• The exhibition is interactive — it expects you to touch the exhibits and try them out.
• Allow roughly two hours; the programme is aimed at upper primary and secondary students.
• There are 51 more tips within 25 km, enough to build a full-day trip.
• The whole programme is indoors, so rain is not a problem.
