In a closed system, sturgeon and trout are bred, their waste products nourishing lettuces and herbs grown in adjacent rooms. Pupils can tour modern aquaculture technology as well as the Cold War historical spaces and experience the programme 'Miraculous Farm Without Soil' about the principles of aquaponics.
